High Elevation Snow Continues and Some Snowy Shots from Yesterday

Summary

Yesterday's forecast remains unchanged. Several rounds of light to moderate high elevation snow are expected over the next week, with the best chances in the French Alps. Snow levels dipped a little lower than expected yesterday and several resorts saw some flakes flying even at the base.

Short Term Forecast

Several storms will move through the Alps over the next week, generally with a west to east track. See yesterday's post for a detailed breakdown of the pattern.

This storm track, with west/southwest winds, will favor the French alps. Warm temperatures will keep snow levels relatively high, above 2000 m in France most of the time. Still, it will be good to see some snow piling up at upper elevations and at times we could see some snow creeping down the mountain.

Ok, onto a quick photo tour of some snowy scenes across France, Switzerland, and Austria.
