Dry Mon-Thu, A Weak System Possible Fri-Sat...

Summary

Dry weather is expected through Friday morning. By Friday afternoon into Saturday, we could see some snow showers from a weak system moving through. We could see another break in the storms Sunday into next Monday the 13t. Then more weak/moderate systems are possible by the 14th through the 3rd week of February.

Update

Monday - Friday:

We are expecting a drier pattern from Monday through at least Friday morning. No weather-related travel impacts are expected for the rest of the week. We'll let you know if that changes.

Friday Afternoon/Evening - Saturday System:

The latest forecast model runs show a storm moving through to our north later Friday into Saturday and brushing the northern Sierra with some light snow. We'll be watching the trends with this system all week to see if it could bring accumulating snowfall to the area and possibly some wintry travel and chain controls from Friday night into Saturday.

Long-Range:

We could see another break from Sunday into next Monday the 13th. The next storm showing up on the long-range models is around Tuesday the 14th, with additional weak/moderate storms possible every few days or so through the 3rd week of February. We'll continue to watch the trends as we get closer.
