Idaho Daily Snow

New snow overnight for MLK day!
Summary
Silver Mountain and Lookout Pass got 4-3 inches of new snow overnight on top of 6-8 inches of snow that's fallen in the last 24 hours, so it's going to be a powder day at those North Idaho resorts. Schweitzer got an inch overnight on top of an inch the day before. At Southern Idaho resorts, a cold front moved through overnight, cooling off temperatures throughout the region and dropping about an inch of fresh snow. Dust on crust! Clearing skies are expected after noon, and NW winds will pick up during the day.
Short Term Forecast

A new storm system will come to Southern Idaho resorts on Tuesday night and drop new snow through Thursday. About 2-6 inches are expected at Bogus Basin, Tamarack, Brundage and Sun Valley, and perhaps even more at Pomerelle and Pebble Creek.
Extended Forecast
Clearing skies are expected on Thursday in Southern Idaho, and it should remain sunny through Sunday.
The storms are expected to taper in North Idaho by Thursday and then partly cloudy skies are forecast through Sunday with a small chance of snow through that period.
