Sunny, cold and windy on Monday in most locations

Summary

Skiers/riders will find colder temperatures on the Idaho ski slopes on Monday, with clear skies and Northwest winds that could bring wind-chill factors close to 0 degrees F. South of the Snake River, there's a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Pomerelle and Pebble Creek, with 4-8 inches of snow forecast at Pomerelle and 2-4 at Pebble Creek. Clear and windy conditions will prevail elsewhere on Tuesday statewide, and then a major storm comes Tuesday night through Thursday, bringing a big dump of fresh *pow* to Schweitzer, Silver Mountain and Lookout Pass, with 10-23 inches possible, 9-19 inches at Brundage Mountain, 4-9 inches at Tamarack, 2-6 inches at Bogus Basin and Pomerelle, and 4-10 inches at Pebble Creek by Thursday. Temperatures will gradually warm up as the storms move in mid-week, but snow levels should remain well below base areas, especially in Southern Idaho.
