Significant snow storm coming Monday night-Wednesday
Summary
A new storm front is moving into Idaho statewide on Monday night, bringing substantial winds in the 25-30 mph range during the day on Monday, and then substantial snow is forecast in the Idaho Panhandle mountains through Wednesday, with 5-7 inches possible through that period. Lookout Pass is still open, but it will be closed on Tuesday, before opening for a powder day on Wednesday. Backcountry skiers in the West Central Mountains will have fresh snow Tuesday and Wednesday, with a potential for 5-11 inches of new snow through the storm cycle. Snow levels expected to hover at 4,000 feet. There's less quantity of snow predicted farther south, as Bogus Basin, Sun Valley and Pomerelle are expected to get up to 3 inches of new. Pebble Creek area could get up to 6 inches from the storm cycle.
