3-5 inches of new snow Wednesday; more to come Sunday

Summary

Status: Most Idaho ski areas are closed due to the coronavirus. Lookout Pass reopens Wednesday. The storm system moving through the state currently has dropped 3-5 inches of new snow. Several more inches are expected through the end of the day on Wednesday. There will be a break in the action on Thursday statewide, and then a new system approaches N. Idaho on Friday and is likely to hit S. Idaho by Saturday/Sunday. Another 2-8 inches of new snow are forecast through the weekend. Snow levels are low at 3,000 feet today, and they are forecast to rise to 4,000-5,000 feet this weekend.
