All Idaho ski areas closed for season; weather update

Summary

Idaho Gov. Brad Little issued a statewide stay-at-home order on Wednesday, taking effect Thursday, 3/26. As a result, Lookout Pass has closed for the season. All Idaho ski areas are closed for the season. Backcountry skiing/riding is discouraged statewide to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). See more details in announcements. Weather update: A new storm system is approaching Northern Idaho and the Idaho Panhandle on Friday, bringing a slight chance of light snow during the day. Not much accumulation is expected. On Saturday/Saturday night/Sunday, 5-10 inches of new snow is forecast in the N. Idaho region. Smaller amounts of snow are forecast in S. Idaho this weekend. Partly to sunny skies are forecast in Southern Idaho on Friday and Saturday, and then the new storm system hits on Sunday, bringing 3-6 inches of new snow.
