Stay-at-home order in effect in Idaho; weather update

Summary

Coronavirus update: A statewide stay-at-home order is in effect statewide in Idaho. All Idaho ski areas are closed for the season. Backcountry skiing/riding is discouraged statewide to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). See more details in announcements. Weather: A new snow storm system approached Idaho overnight, bringing several inches of new snow to the Northern Idaho region. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Idaho Panhandle. Three to 7 inches of new snow are expected today with high temperatures in the low 30s. Very high winds are associated with the storm rolling through, with gusts in the mid-40s possible. Damage to trees and power outages could be possible. The storm system is approaching the West Central Mountains and Southern Idaho on Monday as well bringing substantial snow, 2-5 inches, during the day. More snow is forecast Monday night-Wednesday in all locations.
