Hedging Bets on a Little Snow, then Some More

Summary

We've been stuck in a high-and-dry pattern for about 10 days. A gradual break down of this short-term snow drought will begin today with one weak weather disturbance, followed by another this weekend. The ridge of high pressure won't be going away entirely for a little longer but we're starting to see some movement toward a more active pattern, especially in the extended period. Don't give up hope.
