First significant snow event of the season this weekend
Summary
We have a couple of more nice fall days left to enjoy the sunshine and the lingering fall colors before a significant change occurs this weekend. A strong storm containing cold air will arrive on Saturday, resulting in heavy snow above 8,000 feet while snow levels will drop to the valley floor on Saturday night. Cold and unsettled weather will continue next week with additional snow chances.
