Update

We received an additional 6 inches for Thursday morning's report, which brings our 48-hour storm total to 14 inches. This is just outside of the higher end of my final forecast of 6-12 inches but I'll never complain about an extra cherry on top!

We'll now remain mostly quiet on Thursday morning ahead of our next strong system for Thursday night. Light snow will begin to fall on Thursday afternoon, with increasing snowfall rates as we head into the evening hours. Very strong winds will also accompany heavy snow on Thursday night but this will only help load the slopes in preparation for a DEEP powder day on Friday.

In total, look for 8-14 inches from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning, with delicious turns for first chair Friday.

We'll then relax for the weekend, with partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 20s.

Following the break this weekend, we'll receive multiple chances for snow through early next week ahead of a stronger storm for next Thursday and Friday, January 18th and 19th. This will be the initial kick for another good-looking storm track as we head into the final 10 days of January.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
