Rain turns to snow north and west
Summary
Widespread rain affects the region Sunday with moderate and heavy downpours. Cold air moves in Sunday evening with scattered snow squalls in the northern and western Mid-Atlantic. Snow squalls could produce 1 - 3 inches in the higher terrain by Monday morning. Warm and dry weather returns by Tuesday.
