Montana Daily Snow

Active Weather Pattern will Grow the Snowpack for the next 10 days
Summary
The weather pattern for the next week across both sides of the Continental Divide continues to look very active. Thursday, a strong cold front collides with a westerly flow aloft across NW Montana and pushes farther south and east as the day progresses. Higher elevation storm totals by Friday evening could reach 8-10” at Whitefish (6000’) and Lookout (5000’) and possibly even more at Big Sky (8000’). This weekend looks dry, with another round of snow expected Monday and Tuesday. Another storm, mainly for West of the Divide is lining up to bring unsettled conditions on Thanksgiving and Black (hopefully White) Friday. With early season snowpack numbers on both sides of the Divide currently ranging from 150-225% above normal, it's looking good for a decent base for most Montana resorts as the start of the 17/18 season approaches.
