Montana Daily Snow
By Bob Ambrose, Forecaster Posted 6 years ago November 30, 2017
More Snow mainly for the West before High-Pressure builds in next week
Summary
This last small storm on Tuesday night came through with some nice snow totals on the upper aspects of Montana’s mountains. Whitefish and Lookout received 7”, Lost Trail 5” and about 2” at Snowbowl and Disco. Over on the East side, Big Sky received around 8”, Bridger 4” with roughly 1-2” at most of the other areas. Montana’s mountains have a huge diversity East and West of the Continental Divide. So goes the diversity of the weather much of the time. For the next 5 days the Westside will have a series of small disturbances move through with colder temps. Eastsiders will see more sun and wind, with a few snow showers but no real (potential) for much snow through Monday. There is a caveat – the Eastside does have a slight chance on Sunday for accumulating snow but only if several factors line up. After Monday, a large high-pressure system in forecasted to dominate next week’s weather. It will be cold, and there may be a few snow showers that may move over the ridge, but nothing like what we all need to get the season rolling.
