Snow, Snow, Snow…then Cold, Cold, Cold

Summary

Northwest Montana continues to be bombarded with heavy snow and by Wednesday evening, 3 feet or more will blanket those early season slopes at Whitefish, Blacktail and Lookout. East of the Divide will be limited to generally 3-6” at Big Sky and Bridger but the placement of Showdown in Central Montana will put them in the storm track with up to a foot by Weds night. The deep freeze starts slowly on Thursday morning and temps will continue to dive into Saturday. Friday will be a snowy day for Eastsiders (and to a lesser extent, Westsiders as well) but frigid daytime highs of 0-5 above will keep the crowds thin. Continued arctic cold through Christmas Day then warmer and more unsettled weather next Tuesday thru Thursday.
