A RIVER of SNOW…

Summary

Sounds pretty good doesn’t it! Our friends at the NWS in Missoula coined this phrase to describe a weather event we are all tracking for Thursday through Saturday this week. A strong jet stream will transport sub-tropical moisture (aka Pineapple Xpress) into Montana’s cold air and produce heavy snow in the mountains across most of the Northern Rockies. Several feet are likely for areas West of the Divide with lesser, but still impressive amounts on the Eastside by Saturday. Sunday things dry out and temps return to seasonal for a few days.
