Welcome to the 2020-21 winter season, snow lovers!
Since most resorts are still closed, let's take a look at our Estimated Snow Depth map for areas in the Northern Rockies and Western Canada. The brighter the purple, the deeper the snowpack.
You can see how areas in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada are already stacking up and this will continue to be the case over the next 10+ days.

And after looking at the snow depth and then onto the forecast, there won't be much change over the next 7 days. The snow machine will continue to target areas along the West Coast of the United States and Western Canada into the week of Thanksgiving.
Squaw Alpine will receive upwards of 2 FEET through Wednesday night as a healthy, base-building storm delivers heavy snow to Tahoe.
Further west, areas in the Intermountain West will continue to receive mild and dry weather through Friday (11/20), followed by a very weak storm in Friday night and into Saturday. Much of the West will then dry out early next week ahead of additional storms in the extended forecast...
Extended Forecast
Looking ahead to the week of Thanksgiving and beyond, the focus will remain on Canada as wave after wave of snowfall targets Revelstoke, Sun Peaks, and Banff/Lake Lousie.

As always, keep an eye on our 10-day snow forecasts to see how the storms trend and lock-in your powder days as confidence grows between days 3-5.
