First snow for many

Summary

The first widespread snow of the season is underway with resorts picking up a quick ~1-3" overnight with more, but lower than expected, accumulations expected on Wednesday. Snowfall expectations are tempered by warm air working its way into the mountains likely producing a mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain. Cold and unsettled weather will persist into early next week.
