Messy storm Tuesday/Wednesday...more favorable stormy pattern to follow
Summary
4-6” of snow should be expected across many resort locations throughout New England before sleet and freezing rain mix in Tuesday night. Areas that see cold air remain in place the longest, mainly the White Mountains, could see snowfall totals exceed 6”. As this system moves east, warm air will advance north Wednesday before cold air quickly arrives by Thursday. A coastal storm could bring snow showers to the mountains on Thursday, ahead of a clipper system on Saturday. Expect accumulations in the mountains to be generally light (1-3”) from both these systems.
