Snow Saturday-Sunday, low-end powder Sunday and Monday

Summary

Friday will be dry and windy with gusts up to 50mph. On Saturday and Sunday, New Mexico receives the leftovers of a major winter storm from the north. Models are still in flux but trending in the 2 to 7-inch range between Saturday and Monday morning, favoring the most northern mountains around Taos and Red River. Taos is a wildcard for 10+ inches by Monday morning with some luck. Sunday morning and Monday morning offer the best chance for low-end powder days, with Monday offering blower quality snow. Winds will be an issue Saturday and Sunday, especially Sunday with gusts up to 60mph, impacting visibility and possible lift closures. Monday will be cold with a few lingering snow flurries. Tuesday through at least Friday will be quiet and warmer. The next potential storm looks to be the week of Dec. 23rd.
