Back-to-back low-end storms Mon-Tues, Weds-Thurs

Summary

A dry and mostly calm weekend is underway across the Land of Enchantment ahead of two back-to-back low-end storms. Storm #1 from the west/northwest will hit midday Monday through early Tuesday and drop 1 to 5 inches of snow in the northern mountains. Tuesday morning will offer soft conditions and maybe low-end powder. Storm #2 will impact New Mexico Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, and looks to be stronger than storm #1, but still on the low to mid-end. We are still 5+days out so lots can change, but the track of storm #2 just shifted to more of a north to south path down through New Mexico which would still bring snow to the northern mountains, but perhaps more favor the southern and eastern half of the state. Need a few more days to sort out storm #2, but Thursday morning will be best chance for soft conditions and potential powder. Friday through the first weekend of February looks dry. Between February 4 and 9, the storm track is projected to be just to our north. New Mexico could get just a tease in early February, or with a slight nudge south, we could see more snow. For now, best to keep expectations low the first week of February.
