High pressure in control, snow returns Sunday

Summary

An extended stretch of dry weather with sunny skies in the mountains and inversions with low clouds in the valleys will prevail through Saturday. Temps will be mild over the Cascades but chilly across the Inland NW. The pattern begins to change over the weekend with increasing clouds, followed by a storm on Sunday-Monday (1/30-1/31) that should bring snow to most of the region.
