Active but complex pattern ahead

Summary

A trough of low pressure will set up over the Northwest this weekend and next week with the jet stream along with an arctic front acting as focal points for snow. However, confidence is low on when & where exactly the heaviest bands of snowfall will set up. Overall, WA looks more favored than OR. The snowy pattern continues through about Dec 21, then warm air & rain become a concern.
