New snow = weekend fun

Summary

Snow continues today, after a front moved through last night with 2-8” of new snowfall. The snow will continue tonight into early Saturday. Expect clearing later Saturday into Sunday. Next week will see more snow with a new weather system coming in Sunday afternoon and Monday morning

Short Term Forecast

Today will see 2-4” of new snow, as the main weather front has moved through, but snow showers will continue in the wake. Snow levels will be 3000-3500, so expect grabby snow on the lower slopes. There will be additional new snow tonight into Saturday morning (3-7”) with a little more during the day and low snow level (2500 ft). There will be partial clearing later in the day and early Sunday. Sunday morning will turn out to be partly sunny with spring skiing – use the sunscreen.

Extended Forecast

A new system will move in later on Sunday into early Monday with new snow. The week ahead will bring a combination of spring sunshine and new snow at times – typical spring weather in the NW – as winter hangs on. But a dry mostly sunny pattern will be seen next Thursday and Friday.
