Clash of Arctic Air and Warm Moist Air
Summary
Saturday will see a wide range of effects as a storm brings widespread precipitation. Arctic air will move into the northern Cascades and the Willamette Valley. Warm air associated with the center of the storm system will raise snow levels in the central to southern Cascades. Snow accumulations will be 1-2 feet with a wide range in totals and snow ratios due to the temperature differences.
