Active pattern ahead

Summary

A well-needed pattern change finally takes place on Wednesday as the ridge of high pressure moves east and lets in successive storms from the Atlantic. The warm storms result in high freezing levels in the SW but the northern half of Scandinavia will get snow at low elevations also. A cooling trend is ahead towards the weekend and the polar vortex begins breaking down. An active pattern continues.
