Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
As of Sunday at 400am, the summit snow stake shows that about 8 inches of snow accumulated on Saturday night, and on the upper half of the mountain, we might see an additional 1-3 inches before the snow stops early this morning. While temperatures are finally starting to cool, the freezing level was between the summit and mid-mountain, so like Saturday, expect thick, dense powder on the upper part of the mountain with little to no new snow on the lower half of the mountain. Also, get after the snow early because I expect some sunshine, and the high sun angle of April will quickly thicken the already thick snow!
From Sunday afternoon through Monday mid-morning, expect a final wave of 3-6 inches of colder, fluffier snow. This should make Monday morning’s snow quality pretty good with colder fluff on top of the deep, thicker snow from this weekend.
For the middle of the week, the weather will be dry and warm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Then we’ll see another storm from Thursday night through Saturday with 4-8+ inches possible. This will be a colder storm, so the entire mountain should get snow.
After that, Sunday, April 15th, closing day, should turn out dry and sunny.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
