Update

On Thursday evening, a cold front arrived and snow began to fall, and now on Friday morning, the official mid-mountain report and the summit snow stake camera both show 7 inches of new snow.

We are seeing a lull in the storm now early on Friday morning with a chilly temperature of 8F at the summit to 23F at the base. Snow showers should return by mid-to-late morning and continue through Friday night. Additional snowfall could range from 4-8 inches from Friday mid-morning through Friday night. This storm does not have nearly as much moisture as the previous storm, so snow totals could be on the lower end of this range, but if we see a few intense squalls, then we’ll get closer to the upper end of the range.

Following the soft snow on Saturday morning, the rest of Saturday will be dry, and then for closing day on Sunday, April 15th, we’ll have dry, sunny, and reasonably warm weather with a temperature from the upper 30s to mid-40s – perfect conditions for celebrating the end of the season!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
