Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
Saturday
The morning will be sunny, and temperatures are colder at the base (+10F) than on the mountain (20-30F). Then during the midday and afternoon, temperatures should rise into the 30s to low 40s with more clouds covering the sky as the next storm heads toward Colorado.
Saturday night through Monday
Snow returns!
The snow on Saturday night should be just a few showers. We should see some accumulating snow during Sunday morning, though a wind direction from the southwest isn’t great for snow at Steamboat.
From later Sunday afternoon through Monday morning, the wind direction should be from the west, and this is a very good direction for snow at Steamboat.
I think we’ll see 4-8 inches from Sunday midday through Monday morning, with some powder for Sunday’s last chair and the best powder on Monday’s first chair. Also, another piece of energy moving across northern Colorado could bring an additional 2-4 inches of snow on Monday and Monday night, so conditions should stay soft through Tuesday morning!
Tuesday & Wednesday
The snow conditions on Tuesday morning should be soft and fun thanks to the lingering snow from later Monday and Monday night. The weather on Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry and mostly sunny with highs in the 20s.
Next storm
Unfortunately, the storm that we were expecting on Thursday and Friday may not come to fruition, and this flip-flop in the forecast is incredible because nearly every model showed a high likelihood for this storm. We’ll see if the models flip back to a snowier forecast in the next day or two. If not, we’ll need to wait until January 15-20th for our next chance for significant snow.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
