Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
Monday & Tuesday
These days will be dry with more sunshine on Monday and increasing clouds on Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the teens to low 20s up on the hill with much colder air near the mountain base in the morning.
Some powder on Wednesday
A moderately-strong storm should bring snow from late Tuesday night through Wednesday evening. I think 3-6 inches is a decent bet as we’ll see gradually cooling temperatures and a wind from the west, and both of these are favorable factors to bring snow to Steamboat. Wednesday’s snow conditions should become softer and deeper through the day.
Break on Thursday
We will be in between storms from late Wednesday night through Thursday evening. Snow conditions on Thursday morning should still be soft thanks to the new snow from later Wednesday.
Storm Thursday night to Saturday morning
I still like the look of the storm that will bring snow from Thursday night through Friday afternoon. This system will be strong and will make a direct hit on Colorado. On Friday morning we should wake up to at least a few inches of snow from Thursday night, and we will see moderate to intense snow for at least the first half of Friday. Enjoy the 4-8+ inches of powder on Friday, with snow conditions getting better through the day.
And after the storm…
Snow should taper off later on Friday, and I think we’ll see partly cloudy skies and a few snow showers on Saturday and Sunday. Accumulations should be minimal during this time. The next storm may arrive around Tuesday, January 22nd, but there is still a lot of uncertainty about this system so I’ll keep the forecast vague for now and fine tune it over the next few days.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
