Update

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

We’ll start Sunday with a temperature of 10-15F on the hill and around 0F at the base. Readings should rise into the 20s by midday, and Monday and Tuesday should offer similar conditions. Expect lots of sunshine on Sunday and Monday and then increasing clouds on Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday

A storm over the west coast will push clouds, moisture, and snow showers into Colorado, and we could see a few inches of accumulation during this time, though I do not think we’ll see consistent snow every minute of the day or night. This snowfall will just be a tease ahead of the main storm.

Storm Thursday night to Saturday morning

All forecast models continue to show a strong storm bringing significant snow from later Thursday through later Friday evening. It looks like Friday, January 18th has a good chance for being a powder day, and there could be more snow on Friday evening which would lead to more powder on Saturday morning. Snowfall from this storm will likely be in the 6-12 inch range, or maybe higher.

And after the storm…

There is a high likelihood for additional snow from Monday, January 21st through Wednesday, January 23rd, but I do not know it the snow will come from one storm on either the 21st or 23rd, maybe multiple storms, or some other scenario. We’ll need to wait at least a few more days to gain more confidence in the forecast.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
