Update

Thursday morning – Saturday morning

A storm will track to the south of Colorado. This is not a favorable setup for intense snow and I am only expecting a few times of light to moderate snowfall.

The best chance for stronger cells or lines of precipitation to hit Steamboat and perhaps deliver a few inches of accumulation will likely be Thursday night and again Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. A few higher-resolution models show a quick burst of snow on Friday and Friday night with 5+inches of accumulation, so we’ll watch for that.

Keep your eye on the snow stake cam to see if there will be freshies on Friday morning or Saturday morning.

Saturday, Sunday, Monday

The weather will be dry, we should see some sunshine, and high temperatures will be in the teens.

Next Tuesday – Friday

There will be steady snowfall to the north of Colorado and it’s possible that some of these flakes will make it south into our state. I do think we’ll see accumulating snow at some point during the middle or end of next week though I have no confidence in the details.

Longer Range

Some models now show that the next stormy period could be around March 3-5. Let’s hope this is the case and I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
