Update

Tuesday

Our high temperatures on Monday were in the upper 40s to low 50s, and we might meet or slightly exceed these numbers on Tuesday under partly sunny skies.

Storm Wednesday & Thursday

The storm is on track to bring a big change to the weather and significant snow.

Snow showers should begin on Tuesday late night or early Wednesday morning, with the steadiest snow during the day on Wednesday. I'll continue to stick with my earlier forecast for 5-10 inches of accumulation, and the best conditions should be on Wednesday midday and afternoon once the new snow has softened the base a little bit.

The wind direction on Wednesday evening and Wednesday night will blow from the north, which typically does NOT bring a lot of additional snow to Steamboat. My thinking is that we’ll see lighter accumulations on Wednesday night, with a few more snow showers on Thursday.

Closing Weekend

Following dry weather on Friday, a southern storm could bring a few showers on Saturday and Sunday, though accumulations should be light. The final day of this amazing season will be on Sunday, April 14th.
