Fun forecast for Friday and Saturday

Summary

Thursday will be a relatively quiet day, then a storm should bring significant snow on Friday and Saturday.

Update

On Wednesday and Wednesday night, chilly temperatures and snow showers continued with 5 inches of snow accumulating at mid-mountain, mostly during the day on Wednesday.

Now on Thursday morning, the snow showers are still going, but they should be lighter and produce less snow compared to the previous two days.

Then between Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon, a storm will target the northern mountains of Colorado, with the most snow potentially falling right around the Steamboat area. Most forecast data now shows a storm total of 15-30 inches with powder likely getting deeper during the day on Friday and the deepest powder possibly on Saturday morning through the afternoon.

Following this storm, there could be snow showers on Sunday. Then a storm on Monday and Tuesday will likely split as it approaches Colorado, and this split storm will be tricky to forecast, and we'll need to wait at least another day or two before having more confidence about the forecast details.
