Snow Thursday morning, then a weekend storm

Summary

Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry, we'll see some fresh snow on Thursday morning, then a storm will bring snow and warm temperatures from Friday afternoon through Monday.

Update

Monday was dry and partly sunny with a comfortable high temperature in the 20s to low 30s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be similar to Monday with dry weather, partly sunny skies, and comfortable high temperatures in the 20s to low 30s. There will be showers northwest of the mountain and there is a low chance that we could see a few snowflakes from these showers, but I am expecting dry weather for most or all of this time.

Wednesday Night into Thursday morning is when we will see a fast-moving storm bring 3-6 inches of snow. The timing of this storm means that there should be low-end powder for Thursday morning's first chair. With a favorable wind from the west, there could be a chance for a high-side surprise, so we'll watch the snow stake cams and hope for the best.

Thursday: There will be some fresh snow in the morning, then the rest of the day will be dry with partly sunny skies and a cooler high temperature in the teens.

Friday to Monday: A storm with a lot of moisture and warm air will bring snow from Friday midday or afternoon through Monday midday or afternoon. The high amount of moisture and a favorable wind direction from the west (ish) could deliver 10-20 inches of snow during this time, but the big caveat is that temperatures will be warm, we could have rain at the base and lower part of the mountain from Friday through Saturday midday, and the snow quality will likely be thicker and denser due to the warm temperatures. Slightly cooler air will arrive later on Saturday and through Monday, so the snow quality could be fluffier on Sunday and perhaps even better on Monday morning.

Next week: We will likely see drier weather early in the week from later Monday through Tuesday and maybe into Wednesday, then there could be another storm with a lot of moisture and warmer temperatures sometime between March 15-18.
