And now we wait

Summary

Little to no new snow is in the 10-day forecast, which is a bummer!

Update

We are coming up on a stretch of dry and calm weather with a low likelihood of significant snow between now and Christmas.

Our snowpack is close to average and we are riding on about 49% of total trails, so things are okay.

From a weather perspective, if you like sunshine and warm-ish temperatures, then the next six days will be for you as we'll see dry conditions and high temperatures mostly in the 30s.

The next chances for storms will be sometime between Thursday, December 21, and Monday, December 25. Right now, it appears that storms during this time will mostly track to the northwest and to the southwest of Colorado, which would not lead to significant snow for us here at Steamboat.

I wish I had better news, and thanks for reading!
