Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

The skies were mostly clear on Wednesday night, which usually leads to a temperature inversion at Steamboat. And indeed, now on Thursday morning, the temperature near the base is -5F while the temperature at mid-mountain is comparably warmer at +10F. This inversion should even out by late morning and highs across the mountain should reach 20-30F under mostly sunny skies.

The sunny weather will continue on Friday and Saturday, then we’ll see a few more clouds on Sunday afternoon with a snow shower possible later in the day or at night. The next storm will bring a period of heavier snow between Sunday night and Monday night with 3-6 inches of total snow accumulation. This timing means that you’ll likely enjoy fresh pow during the day on Monday. A nice way to start the week, eh?

Following this system, the majority of March 7-10 should be dry and sunny, then our next chance for snow will arrive sometime near or after March 10th.
