Update

Clear nights and sunny days produce quite the temperature range in Steamboat! On Thursday morning, the low temperature at the base was -5F and the high temperature at the base was about 40F! Now on Friday morning, the base temperature is once again around 0F, but it’ll rise rapidly today with highs in the 40s at the base and 30s on the hill. Enjoy the bluebird skies and light winds – this is March weather at Steamboat!

Weather in March does not just bring sunshine, though. Our next snow storm will arrive late Sunday night and snow flakes will continue to fall through Monday afternoon. Total snow accumulations on Monday should be in the 3-6 inch range, so start your week off right by making turns in the fresh pow. Light snow could hang on during Monday night and Tuesday as well, so you’ll likely find soft turns on Tuesday.

The middle and end of next week will be dry with a few clouds around, and then the storm track should sag over Colorado with snow returning sometime between March 10-15.
