Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

Monday was a rippin’ day at Steamboat as heavy snow fell in the morning and a strong wind blew all day. The official snow report shows that 3 inches fell from Sunday evening through Monday evening, though with the strong wind some areas were loaded with more snow and some areas were scoured.

Now on Tuesday morning, we’ll start the day with temperatures in the single digits and mostly cloudy skies. The storm track is just to the north of Colorado, which means we are seeing winds and clouds associated with the storms, but we don’t have enough energy or moisture to provide consistent snow. We might see a few flurries or snow showers on Tuesday and Tuesday night, though any accumulations should be light.

Clouds may hang around on Wednesday, and temperatures will warm into the 30s. We should see sunnier weather on Thursday with highs in the 30s to low 40s. It’ll be full-on spring skiing weather!

Our next chances for snow will be on March 11-12, March 15, and March 19. None of these storms look particularly powerful, but a refresh of snow now-and-again would be welcome. I’ll keep you posted!
