Update

Spring-skiing, baby! The high temperature on Thursday ranged from 35-40 at mid-mountain and the summit, to 50-55 at the base. There are few things better than enjoying soft turns in the sunshine at Steamboat on a spring-like day, and if you missed Thursday, then you’ll have another chance to enjoy the sun and warmth on Friday.

A weak storm will clip northern Colorado on Friday night, so look for a burst of snow between about 11pm and 5am on Friday night with a coating to 2 inches of accumulation. That’s not enough snow to make Saturday a powder day, but there should be a few fresh tracks to enjoy on the groomers if you get up for first chair.

Following a mostly sunny day on Saturday, another storm will clip northern Colorado on Sunday and we will likely see a few snow showers with light accumulations (perhaps more if we’re lucky, but I tend to forecast low and then hope for more).

Looking ahead to next week, most of the time will be dry though I cannot rule out another storm or two clipping northern Colorado, especially late in the week.

Longer-range models continue to show snowy weather for the end of March and early April, but it's a bit too early to get excited for a three-week forecast.
