Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
As expected, Steamboat received a quick burst of snow early on Saturday morning thanks to a fast-moving storm that clipped the northern mountains of Colorado. The summit snow stake camera shows about 1 inch of accumulation, and now at about 8am, clouds are trying to clear. I think we’ll wind up with at least partly sunny weather for the rest of Saturday.
During the day on Sunday, another storm will clip the northern mountains of Colorado, so expect more clouds and snow showers during the middle of the day. The snow stake may pick up another coating to an inch between late morning and early afternoon.
Looking ahead to next week, I expect dry weather most days with sunshine and high temperatures in the 40s to low 50s. Spring skiing is definitely here, so dress in lawyers, please wear sunscreen, and enjoy yourself under the sun!
Longer range models continue to hint at an active and snowy weather pattern returning during the last 7 days of March through at least the first week of April. Let’s hope this happens!
