Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

Clear skies overnight often lead to a temperature inversion at Steamboat, where readings at the base are much colder than on the mountain. This is the case on Tuesday morning, so know that when you head out, it’ll be at least 10 degrees warmer at mid-mountain compared to the base.

We’ll see lots of sun and comfortable temperatures this week. Highs will be in the upper 20s to low 30s on Tuesday, then will rise into the 30s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Our next chance for snow will be between Saturday night and Monday morning (January 6-8). A reasonable first guess for snowfall amounts during this storm is in the 3-6 inch range, and Sunday might be a low-end (or better) powder day.

Following the fresh snow on Sunday, we will likely see dry weather from January 8-10, and then the next chance for a storm will be sometime around Thursday, January 11th.

Thanks for reading!
