Sun Valley had 1" of new overnight, and 1-3" are forecast today, as a storm system hitting the West-Central Mountains and Boise Mountains will hit the edge of the Big Wood River Valley. High temp of 14 degrees today. Skies will clear New Years Eve through Sunday.

There's a 70% chance of snow today in Sun Valley, with 1-3" expected. Cloudy to partly cloudy on Friday, and then clear on Saturday, New Year's Day and Sunday, with high temperatures in the teens.
Next Tuesday-Wednesday, a new storm is forecast to move into the area, and a foot of new snow is possible on Tuesday and another 8" on Wednesday. The snow keeps coming!
10-day GFS forecast for the state of Idaho shows a potential for another 2 feet of snow to fall in Sun Valley through next week.
