Summary
- Partly cloudy skies with a few scattered showers possible Tuesday with little accumulation if any expected. Highs in the 30's on the upper mountains and 40's at lake level. Ridgetop winds gusting to 60+ mph likely affecting some upper mountain lifts. - Later Tuesday night precipitation will increase with heavy snow expected Wednesday. Then lighter snow showers possible Wednesday night into Thursday before the storm clears out Thursday night. We could see 9-22 inches of snow on the mountains by Friday morning, and 2-8 inches at lake level. Snow levels could fluctuate between 6,000-7,000 feet through Tuesday night with rain & snow for lake level, before falling below lake level Wednesday. We will see strong mountain top winds to 70+ mph, likely affecting some upper mountain lift operations through Wednesday. - We should see a break Friday - Sunday with sunny partly sunny skies and lighter winds. Highs in the 30's on the upper mountains and 40's near the base Fri-Sat, and then about 10 degrees warmer for Sunday. - A few weak systems are possible early next week with some scattered light rain and snow showers possible Mon-Wed. Highs in the 40's. - Stronger systems are possible the weekend of the 5th into the week of the 8th. But the forecast models disagree on whether the storms stay just to our north or track far enough south to bring us more rain and snow.
