Big Snow Totals, Big Rain Forecast...
Summary
Colder air is moving in today with some lingering snow showers. Only expecting light accumulations and highs only in the 20's. Winds are gusting to 40+ mph on the mountain tops. The cold air sticks around Friday as the sun visits briefly. The winds should lighten up in the morning before picking up again by Friday night. Saturday a strong storm moves in with heavy precip. We see snow to lake level to start and snow levels quickly rise to 8000 feet by Saturday afternoon. We could see several inches before the change to rain. Saturday night Through Sunday night we have heavy rain with snow levels near to just above 9000 feet. Later Sunday night into Monday the snow levels start to drop, reaching lake level by Monday afternoon. We could see several more inches at the end. More storms are lined up for next week with the first one moving in Tuesday-Wednesday and another Thursday-Friday. These storms look colder and could bring significant snowfall. More storms may be behind those the weekend of the 14th.
