Snowy April...

Summary

Cloudy and windy today with showers and highs in the 40's. Winds could gust up to 80 mph on the mountain tops. Snow levels will be between 7000-8000 feet. Only expecting light rain/snow showers until later today. Tonight heavier precip moves in with snow levels falling to 7000 feet. We could see 4-13 inches of snow on the mountains. Friday the snow continues with snow levels around 6000-6500 feet. Winds will be gusting to 90 mph on the mountain tops. Highs will be in the 30's. We could see an additional 1-4 inches at lake level, and 2-8 inches on the mountains. Friday night colder air filters in with another wave of precip moving in. Snow continues with an additional 3-8 inches possible at lake level, and 5-15 inches on the mountains. Snow showers should linger into Saturday with winds still gusting to 65 mph on the mountain tops. We could see 1-5 additional inches. Highs will only be in the 20's on the mountains and low 30's at lake level. Sunday through Wednesday we should see a break in the storms with highs in the 30's on the mountains through Monday then into the 40's Tuesday and Wednesday. Next Wednesday night through Friday another cold storm may bring additional snowfall. It could come in feet again on the mountains. The pattern could remain active through April.
