Over a Foot of Snow for Someone...

Summary

Cloudy and very windy today with lake level gusts to 50 mph and 100 mph on the ridge tops. Rain showers begin to move into the area by this afternoon with snow levels falling to around 9000 feet. Tonight a cold front moves through with heavy snow and gusty winds. Snow levels are falling to 8000 feet during the evening, and then to 7000 feet overnight and below lake level by morning. That will pile up several inches of snow on the mountains overnight. For Monday colder air continues to push in with temperatures maxing out in the 30's and dropping into the 20's by evening. Snow showers may linger in the morning with an inch or two of additional snowfall from lake level up the mountains. The storm should clear out by afternoon. Tuesday through Friday we should have dry weather with highs in the 40's and lows in the 20's. That should allow for good snowmaking on top of the fresh snowfall all week. We are watching another storm for next weekend that could bring more snowfall to the mountains. Then a drier pattern may build in the first week of December.
