Storm winding down

Summary

On Sunday, we'll see light snow, times of dry weather, and also gusty winds. Then the next storm should arrive on Friday.

Update

Reminder: This season is starting with a much lower snowpack compared to average and compared to last season, so open terrain is limited at the moment. We may see more terrain open during the coming days.

Saturday was opening day (!), and on Saturday night we saw a dusting to 1 inch of snow at mid-mountain.

Now on Sunday, we are on the southern edge of the storm. We may see some flakes during the day, but for the most part, snow will stay to our north and I think our accumulations will be minimal, if anything. Higher up on the mountains, winds will be gusty, reaching 30-40 mph.

Monday should turn out to be a mostly sunny day, and perhaps we'll continue to see a little more terrain open. Temperatures will be in the 20s.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be mostly sunny, dry, and warm with high temperatures in the 30s to low 40s.

Our next chance for snow will be sometime between Friday, December 8 to Sunday, December 10. This looks like a moderate storm, with a first estimate of snow accumulations in the 4-8 inch range. We'll dial in the details during the next few days.
