Saturday Powder

Summary

Snow fell on Friday and Friday night, and Saturday will be a powder day with flakes accumulating through Saturday night.

Update

Friday

Friday was snowy with 4 inches from Thursday night and another 5 inches accumulating by 400pm.

Friday Night

Snow fell during most of the night and I see another 5-6 inches on the snow stake as of Saturday at 3 am. With cooling temperatures, the snow quality should be transitioning from thicker to fluffier.

Saturday

Snow should fall throughout the day on Saturday with 4-8+ inches of accumulation. Temperatures will be in the mid-teens.

Saturday Night

I think that snow will continue to fall through at least midnight and maybe through early Sunday morning and we could receive another 1-4+ inches during this time. Due to continued cooling temperatures, the snow quality should be pretty fluffy.

Sunday

Sunday morning should be fun with fluffier snow on top of the soft snow from Saturday. Snow should end by the morning and we'll see sunshine during the day with a high temperature in the low 20s.

Monday

Monday will be dry and sunny with a high temperature in the 30s.

Storm Cycle Tuesday, February 6 to Sunday, February 11

Multiple storms will likely bring snow to Colorado for six days from Tuesday to the following Sunday. The first few days of this storm cycle will bring a wind from the southwest which could work out okay for us, and then we'll have more snow later during this cycle with a somewhat more favorable wind direction from the west. Total accumulations could be 1-2 feet (+/-) and I'll have more details about this potential snowfall in the coming days.

My next update will be on early Sunday morning.
