Vail Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Vail Daily Snow

Three chilly days with light snow

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be very cold with light snow. Then more snow could arrive during the weekend and also early next week.

Monday was sunny with a comfortable high temperature in the 20s.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be three chilly days, so dress warmly! High temperatures will be in the 5-10°F range, and each day will be cloudy with light snow. During this 72-hour stretch of light snow, we might see accumulations of 2-7 inches. The cold temperatures generally result in low moisture and small snowflakes, but maybe we'll get a bit lucky with bigger snowflakes and 6+ fluffy inches of snow.

Then from Friday to Saturday, a storm may bring snow to far northern Colorado, which might be just north of Vail. There is a possibility for a few inches of snow with powder on Saturday, but it is too early to make the call. I'll keep watching this system and hopefully, we can increase our confidence in the forecast during the next one or two days.

On the other side of the weekend, a storm should deliver snow early next week, roughly from January 30 to February 1. Again, it's too early to make a confident call on the forecast details, and at this point, it's worth watching early next week for possible powder.
